BRM Chronographes keeps clocking up miles on the international circuit. After launching the first BRM boutique last spring in Indonesia, the manufacture continues its expansion with the opening of a second store in Malaysia.

A look back at the event

The 2015 edition of the Paris-Modena™, launched by Maserati, took place from the 4th – 9th of July. BRM Chronographes was pleased to associate its colours with those of this exceptional cycling event, which brings together sportsmanship and a spirit of adventure.

Magnificent landscapes and roads full of character meant that this year the Paris-Modena™, with its guiding principles of common endeavour, mutual assistance and passion, became a major event. The human element, team spirit and friendly atmosphere that reined are indisputable.

Klaudia Podkalicka, a Polish driver, mainly takes part in trials. She started as a co-driver at the age of 16, and got behind the wheel in 2006 for the Kia Picanto Cup. After finishing second the following year in the Dacia Logan Endurance Cup, she decided to change direction and go into Cross Country Rally, winning the prologue of the 2012 Rabakoz Rally Cup.

BRM Chronographes shares her competitive spirit, her determination and her passion, and is delighted to have this promising driver who has already made a niche for herself in the male-dominated world of motorsports wear its livery.

A woman in the world of motor sport is not a common thing. Why did you choose to become a rally driver ?

I had always wanted to be a ballet dancer. I went through ballet school, but life decided differently. My father was a racing driver and I went everywhere with him. He was a quadruple champion and I think that was a pretty amazing feat! He was the one who introduced me to his motorsport life style. After ballet school, I decided to make a radical change and racing became my goal.

I first started in 2006 in the Kia Picanto Race Cup. The following year I entered the ADAC Logan Cup and the Volkswagen Castrol Cup. I then changed disciplines and took part in a Cross Coutry Rally. This I really enjoyed, and it made me realize that this would be my future discipline and that I would try to do as many races as I could to gain as much experience as possible.

How do you view your career so far ?

I have had a lot of success in motorsport, however right now the most important thing to me is to gain as much experience as possible.

What are your objectives for the next season ?

My goal is a full season of the FIA Cross Country Cup, and of course the Central Europe Zone Championship. I would also like to start in the Polish Championship. I hope that will bring me closer to my dream: the Dakar Rally.

You have recently joined the BRM family: How do you feel about that ?

I’m very happy to have become part of the BRM family. It is extremely exciting to be counted amongst so many great drivers. I love your watches and I think they suit me perfectly!
