The one and only French watch manufacture, BRM is delighted to share a glimpse of its unique world with you.
Last month we revealed the secrets of BRM's machining process. This month, the adventure continues, and we are pleased to reveal the casing up techniques used in our ateliers...
At BRM, it is "from the excellence of the details that performance is born."
For this reason, the buckles on our straps have no fewer than 12 components, instead of the three usually used for luxury watches.
Over 20 transfers are required to make a watch dial.
For the hands, Bernard Richards could have settled for the hundreds of options offered by sub-contractors, but he would not hear of it, and designed perforated hands that would not be out of place on the finest pedal units of transalpine carmakers.
The watches' assembly screws are also specific, machined to a hundredth of a millimetre's tolerance, it takes almost 12 times as long to machine them as normal.
Lastly, all the key tasks, from fitting to assembly, to setting to polishing, are done by hand.
Follow us next month to find out about the art of finishes on BRM watches!
